Community Dental Center's Services
First visit: At your first visit to Community Dental Center, you will receive a full set of X-rays and a comprehensive dental examination. Your teeth will be examined for cavities, and your gums will be examined for signs of periodontal (gum) disease.
Examinations: Complete oral examinations are scheduled every six months for the early detection of problems.
Prophy (cleaning): Cleanings are also scheduled every six months to maintain the health of the gums.
Fluoride Treatments: Fluoride is applied to the teeth to prevent the development of tooth decay.
Sealants: A plastic substance is applied to the biting surfaces of the back teeth to prevent the development of tooth decay.
X-rays: Diagnostic radiographs are taken (usually once per year) for the early detection of dental conditions.
Fillings: Both silver and tooth colored fillings are used to restore teeth damaged by tooth decay or trauma.
Crowns/Bridges: When a tooth can't be restored using fillings, often a crown or bridge is needed to restore the function of the tooth.
Dentures: When there are several missing teeth, partial or complete dentures may be necessary.
Oral Surgery: We provide limited oral surgery. Most patients needing surgery are referred to other clinics.
Root Canal Therapy (Endodontics): When tooth decay reaches the nerve canal of the tooth, root canal treatment is often the only way to save the tooth. Our services are limited to treatment of anterior teeth.
Periodontics: Periodontics is the treatment of gum disease. Gum disease can be prevented by regular removal of plaque and tartar.
Bleaching: Tooth-whitening systems are used to lighten discolored of teeth.
Bite Splints: Custom made bite splints are used to control damage caused by grinding of the teeth (bruxism).
Dental Education: Patients are taught the importance of good oral heath and instructed in how to practice good home care
